Stage 1.1 Hot Spot

.           I barreled towards Amber2 as if she had cursed me out. I pulled out a sword (not the ion or sonic blades) and it suddenly had a powerful burst of electricity. I swung when I was still a few feet away from her. A large line was formed and it shot towards Amber2 with great force. It slammed into her and sent her flying. She crashed into a tower of fuel barrels. I launched another bolt and watched as it hit the pile of barrels. The pile exploded and I believed that Amber2 was dead.

The ice froze suddenly and all of her friends began to snicker and chuckle. I looked at the frozen explosion and watched with great dismay as Amber2 walked through the ice. She was wielding a sword as well. She spun it a few times and swung. A beam of ice shot towards me. I dodged in time, but the beam hit Nick. He was frozen instantly. It didn’t matter because the ice melted almost as fast as it froze. Nick then pulled out a sword and spun it. Before he could do anything, everyone else stood around him in a circle.

Jon2 leapt at Nick. Nick’s sword glowed an unhealthy red and he swung at Jon2’s midsection. Jon2 was sliced in half and fell to the ground. Alaini attacked him next. She stuck her sword into the ground, which made Nick think she was insane. The ground beneath him shook and vines began to climb around his legs, holding him down. Stephanie2 and Suzie2 (who should be dead) attacked, jabbing at him. Nick used his sword to block off one attack and use that one to fend off the second attack. Nick began to spin his sword faster and faster. The heat that he was sending through it was making the vines on his legs wilt, and it made everyone sweat. Nick leapt into the air and did a huge swing. A wall of fire came down upon everyone below him.

Amber2 knocked me into a room that was filled with stasis pods (the ones that looked oh so familiar). I stood up and looked inside one of them. Amber was in one. I check a few more. As I had feared, each of these pods was being occupied with those that I knew. Amber2 walked into the room a moment later.

“Amazing isn’t it?” she asked me. “As they sleep, we gain their memories and abilities. For instance, Amber. She had a long time rivalry with Suzie. I’ve been told that Kira was once your apprentice.” I stood there silently. “It’s interesting though that no one has had any feelings for anyone.” I looked at her. She was smiling, which disturbed me greatly. I lifted my sword so that it was in front of me. Amber2 raised her sword and said something silently.

“What happens if I kill you?” I asked her.

“Amber goes free,” she answered. I thought for a moment.

Do I want someone who won’t die around or someone who is insane and won’t stay dead around? I asked myself. I spun my sword so that if you tried to see it, well, you wouldn’t. Amber2 leapt towards me and raised her sword above her head. I threw my sword at her head, which dug straight through her skull. I rolled out of the way as Amber2 fell to the ground. Her body slumped and fell over. I walked over to the body, pulled my sword out of her head, and removed her head. Behind me, Amber’s stasis pod opened up. I turned and Amber stumbled out. She collapsed on the floor and laid there. I put the head in the pod and shut it.

“Great,” I mumbled. “I now have to figure out what to do with her body.” I didn’t have to do anything because she woke up and sat up against the pod.

            “What happened?” she asked me.

“Amber2 captured you and the others and made you a form of host,” I explained. “As you remained in the pods, everything about you would be downloaded into them, making them more like you. I killed Amber2 and saved you, but there are still the others that need to be freed.” I pointed to the other pods that circled the room. “As each one opens, another one of the people from the other universe is dead.” Jon’s pod opened up and he fell on his face.

            “Like that?” Amber asked.

“Uh, yeah,” I answered. I walked out of the room and looked around to see what was going on.

“Run!” Brandon2 screamed. “He’s insane!” Nick was walking around swinging his sword and sending flame torrents throughout the room. Alaini2 was hit by a flame and she fell to the ground. Brian2 was on a platform aiming a sniper rifle at him.

“Nick!” I shouted. “Duck!” Brian2 changed his target and fired at me. I rolled to the left and hid behind a damaged fighter. (Where the fighter came from, I don’t know.) I put up the sword and pulled out my PAs and put them together. I moved to a position where I could shoot without being an easy target. I first started with Brian. I hit the platform he was on. The platform collapsed and he fell to the ground. I fired constantly on the location where he fell. I stopped after thirty seconds of blasting. Brian2 punched his way through the ruble pile on top of him.

“Did you think that it would be that easy to defeat us?” Brian2 asked tauntingly.

“No,” I said. “You get most of the abilities that the person in the stasis pods get.”

“Yes,” Brian2 said with a puzzling look. “How did you know?”

“Amber2 told me before she died,” I answered. Brian2 just gave me a dumbfounded look. While he was distracted, I fired several thousand plasma bolts at him. Next, I put the PA on my LTSE and fired. The combined power caused Brian2 to disintegrate from all the heat and energy. Back in the pod room, Brian’s pod opened and he fell on top of Jon.

“Get off!” Jon yelled. Amber laughed at them. She walked over to make sure that Brian was alive. Afterwards, she walked back to where she was sitting and pulled out a small knife. She began to sharpen it as she waited for the next person to come out of their pod.

“Die will you!” Nick shouted. He had swung at Stephanie2 and she would be injured and then heal before Nick could pull the blade completely through. It was almost as if he was fighting Amber with a mutation.

“What’s wrong?” Stephanie2 asked. “Are you losing your touch? Every time you defeated me. Today, I will win!”

“Wait,” Nick said. He jumped back as Stephanie smashed the ground with a deadly, crushing blow. “You aren’t from that black hole universe?”

“No,” Stephanie said. “I’m from this universe. I made everyone else believe that I was from the other universe while Stephanie2 was from this universe. Now that she’s in the pod, I’ll be more powerful than you and Matt!” She swung again at Nick and he blocked it. She slid back and her sword began to glow a slightly blue tone. She spun it a few times then swung, launching a massive wave straight toward Nick. He could do much except run for his life. He tripped on a piece of loose ruble and fell. He was getting back up when the wave was nine inches away from him. I threw the closest thing o could find in the path of the wave.

“What the…” Nick began to shout. The damaged fighter that was next to me had landed between the wave and Nick. Nick took the time that I gave him and ran back behind some barrels. He looked at the label and saw that it was fuel. Stephanie jumped on top of the fighter and looked around. I aimed my LTSE with the PA on it. I fired a few shots at her, but she blocked them with unnatural ease. I looked at Nick and he looked back. He shrugged then pulled out his FTSE and fired. She blocked those shots as well. HE put the PA on it and tried again. Still, Stephanie blocked them.

“How are we supposed to hit her?” I asked Nick. Stephanie heard me and launched a water attack. I dove under an old picnic table and slid. The water struck the table and crushed it. I fired a fury of shots at her, which she blocked easily. This time, I didn’t stop shooting. Nick joined in on the fighting. Stephanie was having a hard time blocking them, so she put up a water shield. Nick’s shots were useless, but mine were amplified even more. Stephanie was knocked back across the hangar bay (which looked was a total wreck by now) and knocked her head against a steel bar.

“That was close,” I said breathlessly. Nick nodded then pointed to everyone else. Brandon2 was dead already and Vincinte2 was running around because he was on fire. Alaini2was standing there reading a book and listening to something. Nick and I shot her before she could do anything. Vincinte2 ran into a pile of fuel barrels and exploded. Both Alaini and Vincinte fell out of their pods and landed on Jon’s feet.

“Why are people landing on me?” Jon shouted. Amber was laughing like crazy. “What?”

            “Nothing,” Amber said between laughs.

“Who’s next?” I asked. “Or should I say, who’s left?” Sean E.2 was standing around.

“Have you seen Sean E.?” Sean E.2 asked. “I mean it’s not fair that everyone else has their double and not me.” Suddenly, a figure dropped from the ceiling and lobbed Sean E.2’s head off.

“Whoa!” Nick and I said simultaneously.

“He,” Sean E. said. “That was easy.”

“But fighting me will be the hardest task you will ever face!” Sean M.2 said triumphantly. “Cookie?”

“No thanks,” Sean E. said. “I just ate.”

“Are you sure?” Sean M. asked.

“Yeah,” Sean E. answered. “I’m sure.”

Sean E. began to run off and Sean M.2 chased him. Sean E. ran behind the damaged fighter that was also soaking wet. The fighter exploded suddenly and Sean M.2 walked up carrying a bag of cookies.

“Are you sure you don’t want one?” Sean M.2 asked. “They taste really good!” A large anvil fell and smashed his head in.

“Whoa!” Sean E. said startled. “That was close!” I stepped out of the shadows on the platform above him.

“Need a hand?” I asked. “Or should I say, anvil?”

“Thanks,” Sean E. said. “But I didn’t need your help!”

Hold on. What do you mean Australia is rebuilding itself!? Nick vaporized that place! And how did Kaidel get out off hell? That was a room under the castle in England. If she finds out that we’re in hiding, we’re screwed! Sorry. Let’s get back to the fight.

“Looks like you needed it,” I said.

            “Well, I didn’t,” Sean E. said.

“That was mean!” Sean M.2 said angrily. “Dropping an anvil on my head; I should give you three cookies!”

“If it wasn’t for the fact that those cookies kill,” I said, “that would sound almost good.”

“Eat cookies!” Sean M.2 yelled. Stephanie leapt up and swung her sword at his head. Sean M.2 ducked and rolled to the left. Stephanie jumped over to him and charged at him.

“Die weakling!” Stephanie shouted. Sean M.2 didn’t look scared. Instead, he was eating a cookie.

“Shouldn’t his head have exploded by now?” I asked Nick.

“You’re right,” he answered. “It should have blown apart.” Sean M. looked at us.

“This is a regular cookie,” he said.

“Oh,” Nick and I said simultaneously. We pulled out our TSE and fired. Stephanie jumped up and avoided getting hit. The bullets struck Sean M.2 and he fell to the ground. As he died, Stephanie landed on top of him with the sword protruding through his chest. She pulled it out and placed it in a sword hilt that I had never seen her carry before.

Back in the pod room, Sean M.’s pod opened and he threw a cookie out. It exploded and Sean M. walked out. He looked around to make sure no one was going to attack him. He ran out into the hangar bay and saw us standing around.

“What did I miss?” Sean M. asked.

“Your death,” Stephanie said with a tone of hatred hidden within. She turned around and began to tear apart Sean M.2’s body.

“What’s with her?” Sean M. asked. We shrugged. Nick and I walked over to Sean M. and began to talk amongst ourselves. Everyone else was talking among their little groups. The GGR was in one spot, Sean E. was standing there, Amber and Kira were just watching everybody, and Stephanie was giving everybody the creeps.

“Come to think of it,” I said out loud suddenly. “What happened to the other guy that was here?” We all looked around to see where he was. The guy burst into the hangar bay suddenly. A tower of fuel barrels fell and exploded as he ran in.

“No!” he shouted. He stopped and looked around. “The fight’s over already? Man I’m late.”

“No you’re not,” a female said from some unknown location. (There is more to this particular scene, but I ain’t writing it. The next section is the cleaned up version. The full version is just creepy and rather visual.) The guy pulled out a grenade and put it to his shirtless chest.

            “I’m sorry,” he said softly.

“Don’t do it!” the girl shouted. “Please don’t!” The grenade exploded, and the guy’s body was t sent everywhere.

“Okay,” I said. “That was weird.”

“Why did he do it?” the girl asked angrily in tears. “Why?” (Off hand, the guy had no pants. Hope that clears things up.) I looked at Nick. He nodded and I threw a small cookie at her. It exploded and ended her misery.

“You guys are cruel,” Amber said. “You could have comforted her.” I threw a cookie at her too. The cookie exploded and she punched me in the face.

“What?” I shouted. “Cruel is my middle name!” (No it isn’t.) I took my hand away from my face to make sure I wasn’t bleeding.

“You’re pathetic,” Amber said and walked off. I pulled out a sword and threw it at her. It went straight into her back and stayed there. She looked down and saw a sword sticking out of her chest. She pulled it out and threw it back. It flew past my head and impaled the dead girl’s body.

“You say I’m mean,” I said tauntingly.

“She’s already dead,” Amber said. “That and only pathetic people are back stabbers.” When she said that, I snapped. I grabbed my sword out of the body and charged her. She pulled out her sword and blocked my attack and knocked me back across the room.

Nobody was watching the body. That doesn’t seem like a big deal because we all thought she was dead. While Amber and I were trying to kill each other, the girl moved slightly. Soon she was standing up and walking towards me. I had just sent Amber up into the roof when this girl swung at me with a hot curling iron.

“Whoa!” I said. “There’s no need to be acting all undead on me here.”

“I never died you heartless, foul, inconsiderate, evil, mean…” she yelled. I stabbed her in the chest and pulled the sword back out. She punched me across the hangar bay, into the hallway that leads to it. I rolled myself up and ran. She walked out into the hall and it suddenly exploded. I was propelled forward into the armory.

“Nice,” I said. I picked up a gun, spun around to see the girl standing right behind me. Her eyes were glowing a blood red and she was making me feel weird, or uncomfortable. I couldn’t tell. She slapped the gun out of my hand and grabbed my head. I pulled out a P-90z and unloaded bullets into her abdomen. Se let my head go and I blew the wall apart. The explosion caused earlier was advancing closer. I dove into a different hall and watched the blast blow past. When the fire and wreckage cleared, the girl was standing there.

“Will you die?” I asked her horrified. Amber and other undead people weren’t this consistent. They give you a chance to run as they heal. This girl wasn’t even harmed.

“Why do you resist?” she asked me. “I just need…”

“You just need to die!” I shouted. I threw a C62380 at her and ran. The explosive went off and sent me down the hall, around a curve, and back at the hangar bay.

            “What happened?” Nick asked.

“I don’t know,” I said. “She didn’t die when I shot her, gave her a cookie, stab her, and she might still be alive.”

            “Really?” Nick asked.

“Yep,” Sean M. answered. “From the security video that I have acquired, she wants Matt for some reason. When she grabbed his head…”

“Please!” I shouted. “I don’t want to know what she planned to do, comprende?”

            “Yeah,” Sean M. answered.

“How are we going to leave?” Sean E. asked.

            “Yeah,” Paul said.

“I see you don’t have your crutches,” I said.

“Yep,” he replied. “I was healed by the opposite people.”

            “Okay,” I said.

“Anyway,” Sean E. said impatiently. “How are we going to get out of here?” Behind us, a large steel door had several large dents in it. There was banging and more dents appeared. The banging stopped and a loud screech was heard.

“I have an idea!” I shouted. I ran and revived Stephanie2 and dragged her into the hangar bay.

“What happened?” Stephanie2 asked groggily. “Did we win? Is this universe ours?”

“Everyone from your universe is dead,” I said bluntly. “Listen, right now we need to leave. Is there anyway off this ship? Anyway to bring 16 people?”

            “16?” Amber said confused.

“Why should I tell you?” Stephanie asked.

“If you don’t,” I said with a menacing tone. “You’ll suck vacuum.”

“Fine,” Stephanie2 snapped. “There’s a cargo ship about three landing platforms over. That can hold up to 50 people. That is your only way out.” The girl burst the door down and charged at us.

“Thanks,” I said quickly. I threw Stephanie2 at the girl and ran. I don’t know what happened behind us. All heard was muffled sounds. We made it to the cargo ship and boarded.

“So now what?” Amber asked. I powered the ship up and took off. As we left the ship, I turned so that we were approaching the engines.

“What are you doing?” Kira asked.

“Making sure that nobody on this ship every leaves,” I said. As we passed the engines, I threw a C62380 at the engine. I hit the throttle and flew away from the ship. Behind us, we saw a massive blast and when it cleared, there was no ship.

“That was one hot spot,” Nick said sometime later. “I didn’t think we would ever leave.”

“Well, we did,” I said. “Just be glad about that.”

Stage 1.2 Blackout Zone

It had been about three or so years since that little war. Nobody from opposing forces saw each other. Whatever had been in our control before the incident had remained in our control. Nobody wanted, or they didn’t feel like, taking over other controlled territory and removing an army form the picture. The N3 still conquered galaxies and planets that nobody knew about. The GGR had disappeared and Amber’s undead army was missing. Brandon had vanished from the scene too. All that really remained was the N3. Also, Stephanie was still roaming around, avoid detection and capture.

I was walking down a street in NYC and stopped to read the newspaper. It mentioned something about a black hole being spotted in a nearby solar system. I picked up the paper and read the article.

It read: Strange items have been seen coming out of this black hole. We haven’t been able to identify it because it always explodes as it leaves the event horizon. We have sent probes over to the hole, but each one was destroyed before it could get too close.

“Hey!” the man at the stand shouted. “Are you goin’ to buy that?”

“Sorry,” I said. “The article caught my eye.”

“I could charge you for readin’ that,” the man mumbled thoughtfully. I began to step away slowly. “Hey! Where you goin’?” I dashed down the street and turned the corner. “Kids.”

I stopped in the alley and caught my breath. I looked at the ground and saw several shadows appear behind me. I turned around and saw several thugs surrounding me in a semi-circle. I turned back around and more guys had joined them.

“Going somewhere?” the largest guy asked.

“Yes,” I said. “I was going to get some lunch.”

“You’re lying,” the guy said. “We saw you leave from lunch. Just give us all of your money and we won’t hurt you much.”

            “No thanks,” I said.

“You don’t have a choice,” the guy said. He grabbed me and shoved me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his arm and spun him. He hit the ground and I jumped up. I pulled out a 9mm and pointed it at them.

“You think that gun is going to take us all down?” one guy asked. I threw the gun at him and he flew through a wall. The rest of the guys jumped me. I leapt on to the wall and ran up a few feet, then flipped off. The guy in the pack of the pack turned around and received a b347d0wn. Another guy grabbed me from behind and three other guys began to punch me. I sent electricity through the guy holding me then flipped a guy by his neck with my feet.

“You think you’re tough?” the lead guy screamed. He charged me and I ran towards him. I leapt into the air. The guy grabbed my ankles and threw me at a wall. I used my hands to stop myself, then launch at the guy’s head. He flew through the wall and into a jail cell. I produced a C4 and threw it into the cell with him. I then ran up the closest wall and out of site.

When I reached the roof, I pulled out a remote. I press a series of buttons and an explosion occurred behind me in the alley. I began to walk across the roof and check where I was. Before I could, I was surrounded by a biker gang.

“Where did you guys come from?” I asked. “And how are you still on bikes?”

“Doesn’t matter,” the guy on the largest bike said. “My name’s Chuck. Yours?”

            “Matt,” I said. “Why?”

“We need someone who can defeat our rivals in a triathlon,” Chuck explained. “If you can beat us in a bike race and a chess game, you’re in.”

“What’s the third activity?” I asked.

“You have completed that task,” Chuck said. “We watched you when you got into the fight. We saw that you had skills and so that is why we asked you.”

“Okay,” I said. “But how did you get up here?”

“We have our ways,” Chuck answered. “Hey Bill, get  our new friend here a bike. What style do you want? Chopper or sports bike?” I thought for a moment.

“I’ll take a sports bike,” I replied. Chuck nodded and a smaller guy ran off. A moment later, he returned with a black and red sports bike.

“You can mod it anyway you like,” Chuck said. “All you need to do is meet here,” Chuck handed me a piece of paper, “at 4:00 p.m. in three days. If you fail to show up, you forfeit. If you forfeit, we come after you.”

“Gottcha,” I answered. I hopped on the bike and rode off. The bike accelerated so fast that I didn’t have much time to get my helmet on. I had come to a stop light and I managed to stop without crossing the line. I looked around and saw some cops sitting there. When the light turned green, I punched the accelerator. I hit 150 mph in 1.65 seconds. The cops peeled off and chased me.

I had been evading the cops for ten minutes do far and they had 12 different vehicles after me. I was approaching a building at the end of the street and the street that I would come to was packed with traffic. A tow truck that had a platform for the cars had lowered it’s platform. I speed up, hitting 250 mph, and drove on to the makeshift ramp. I leaned back some to make my bike parallel to the building and hit the wall. The wheels were spinning when it hit the wall and I drove up the wall. The cops slid to a stop when they saw this. I rode until I found a window washing platform and landed there.

“Can’t get me now, can you?” I shouted.

“The GGRPF (Galactic Girl Republic Police Force) will get you!” the cop who had been in charge of the pursuit yelled back. I laughed and drove off the platform on to the closest roof. I eventually made my way back to the street. I went to the N3 headquarters and began to mod my bike.

“What are you doing?” Sean M. asked. He was eating a huge chocolate chip cookie.

“Modding my bike for a race that I have in three days,” I answered. “Do you have anymore cookies?”

            “Nope.”

            “Oh. Where’s Nick?”

            “He went for a walk.”

            “Where?”

            Chicago.”

“Again? He’s going to get himself into a gang war.”

            “Aren’t you involved in one?”

            “True.”

“All right!” Nick said excitedly. “A gun shop!” He walked in to the store and looked around.

“Can I help you?” a male asked him. Nick looked up and saw that Jon was standing there.

“Reduced to a store clerk?” Nick asked.

“Ha ha,” Jon said sarcastically. “No, I’m a multi-billionaire now. I just come to one of my many shops when I feel like it. Are you looking for anything?”

“No, not really,” Nick said. “Have you heard anything about the GGR, Amber and her army, or the undead army Brandon leads?”

“The GGR has fallen silent I know,” Jon stated. “I think it’s because Suzie went to some unknown planet for some research with dogs. I think she wants them to become super powerful but look the same. Probably a war thing.”

“I’d say she’s crazy,” I said. Both Jon and Nick turned to see me standing in black gear.

            “The getup?” Nick asked.

“Bike race in three days,” I explained.

            “Oh,” Nick said. “The bike?”

“I could fight an entire war,” I said.

“Really?” Suzie said from nowhere. We all turned to see her standing at the door with a beagle next to her. “Isn’t she cute? I haven’t named her yet.”

“So, the leader of the GGR, the second most feared army in the galaxy has been reduced to dog breeding?” I asked.

“No,” Suzie said. “I’ve been raising dogs for two reasons. One, so we can have pets. Two, for this. Get him!” The beagle next to her charged me and I rolled to my left. Before either of us could do anything, some person ran into the building, screaming.

“There’s a mad cow running around the place, destroying everything!” the person shouted.

“Why do I have a feeling that this is yours Matt?” Suzie asked. A cow charged up to the door, stopped, stood and opened the door. When it walked in, it head butted the screaming person. The spun around (the door’s still open) and fired bullets out of its nose.

“I thought you took the P-90 nose out of this one!” I yelled at Nick.

“The DNA wouldn’t allow it!” Nick shouted back. “It kept putting the guns back into the DNA!” I sighed and Suzie and her dog looked at us like we were crazy. Jon simply snickered while eating a Snickers© candy bar. Jon walked into a storage room while we dealt with the cow.

“So,” I said. “What do we do with the cow?”

            “Eat it,” Suzie suggested.

“No,” I said. “Eat this cow and you’ll be dead by tomorrow.”

            “Really?” Suzie asked.

“Yep,” Nick said. “Eat this and there will be bullets in your organs.”

“Help!” someone shouted from outside. “There’s a monster!” Jon walked out carrying a rocket launcher.

“Why do you have a rocket launcher?” I asked. “If there’s a monster rampaging around, then you might want something more effective.”

“Okay,” Jon said. He walked back into the storage room and came back out with a chain gun. “Better?”

“Much,” I replied. We went outside and saw a massive chicken rampaging and eating cars. Jon began firing his chain gun. When he pulled the trigger though, it took about one minute to warm up.

“Why is your gun taking so long?” I asked.

“It’s the newest model,” Jon said. “It’s the S4000.”

“S as in slower 4000 times?” I asked mockingly.

“Shut up!” Jon shouted back. I pulled out a suitcase (from where I don’t know) and opened it. Inside was several parts to a chain gun and two PAs. I put the parts together and aimed. It was the ultimate chain gun, equipped with 4 turrets with 4 turrets in the turrets. All of the turrets revolved in a massive turret. There were four of these turrets, making the gun have 12 turrets with 16 barrels per turret. That made 192 barrels in the gun.

“That’s your gun?” Jon asked. “That thing is huge!”

            “It is,” I said.

“How did you get it in the case?” Jon asked.

“Some parts are collapsible,” I explained. “And others are made from the suitcase.”

“That’s why the suitcase disappeared,” Jon said. “I was wondering about that.” I pointed in the general direction of the massive chicken and fired. It took less than .6 seconds to warm up, and when the bullets were fired, the chicken was torn to ribbons. Jon looked horrified as I shot the chicken down. When the chicken was destroyed, I looked around and put my chain gun away.

“Who wants lunch?” I asked. Everyone (but Nick) looked at me as if I was crazy. “What?” An hour later, we were eating lunch. “You needed to let your stomach settle? Wow.”

“Come on,” Suzie said. “Don’t tell me that didn’t bother you.”

“It didn’t,” I said. “I’ve face more disgusting things on some battles on different planets.”

“What has the GGR been doing lately?” Nick asked. He was eating a calzone.

“Nothing really,” Suzie responded. She took a bite of her pizza. “We’ve been making some things but no conquering. You?”

“Simply stated,” I said. “We have been doing completely random things. For instance, I somehow was sucked into a gang war. Also, I have been exploring different galaxies and some unknown planets.”

“I have conquered an entire galaxy!” Jon declared. “It is farther out than yours and I have my own personal army.”

“Why don’t we do some negotiating?” Suzie asked.

“Passive or aggressive negotiation?” I asked quickly.

“Aggressive I guess,” Suzie said. “Wait, what is aggressive negotiations?” After she asked that, the power shut off. “And why is the power out?” Her dog suddenly jumped into her lap and the cow tried to jump into mine. I rolled out of the way and it crushed the table.

            “My spaghetti!” Jon shouted angrily.

“Who cares about your spaghetti?” a familiar voice asked.

“It can’t be!” Nick said suddenly. “Matt took him out!”

“Oh it’s true,” the voice said. “I’m back!”

            “Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!” Nick shouted. “He can’t be alive!”

“I’m alive,” Nick2 said. “And in order to find me, you have to go through NYC without any light. All power is shut off and the sunlight has been blocked. You’re in a blackout zone.” Suddenly, dramatic music played, you know the du du duuuhhhhh! sound? “Okay, that was strange. You have one hour to find me or Earth is destroyed! Agh!”

            “What happened?” Jon asked.

            “I was shocked you… agh!” Nick2 shouted.

“I hit him with electricity,” I said.

“You know where he’s at?” Suzie asked.

“No,” I replied. “I just sent the bolt through the only electric current I could find. I can’t trace it though.”

“Come on then!” Suzie urged. We ran out of the restaurant (as best we could) and saw absolutely nothing.

“Hey Nick,” I said. “Why don’t you make the situation a little brighter?”

“Sure thing,” Nick replied. The street lamps suddenly exploded into flames and stayed lit.

“That works,” I said. “Although I was thinking a car.”

“I can’t see any cars,” Nick said. I threw a bolt of electricity at the street. It hit something which cause a chain reaction. Everything that was within ten feet of the electrically charged item would get hit by the electricity. We ran down the street and jumped into the sewers. When we felt that it was safe to come up, I leapt out and hit my head on a car.

“Why is there a car here?” I asked angrily. “It’s right over the manhole!”

“I’ll take of it,” Nick said. A bright flash occurred and the manhole cover disintegrated. I climbed back up and saw that the car was no longer there.

“Sweet,” I said. “Come on, nothing else is here.” We made our way to the surface and walked off. We couldn’t see much except for what the burning street lamps would reveal. As we walked, I stepped on something and it shrieked. Nick lit a torch and we saw what I stepped on. There was a mockingbird lying there, confused and scared. I bent over and ripped the head off.

“Isn’t that a cruel thing to do?” Suzie asked. I shrugged.

            “Where’s Bill?” I asked. “I haven’t seen him.”

            “Moo,” a cow went.

“That explains that,” I said. We continued walking. There were bright flashes coming from an alley that was a block away. I ran over to it and I saw Nick2 messing with something electronic.

“Guys,” I whispered. “I found Nick2 over here.” Everyone came over and looked. Nick and I ran out with our TSEs ready to take him down. Nick2 looked at us and screamed. He fumbled with some buttons and we fired. The bullets hit a force field and then we smacked into the field.

“What was that?” Nick asked annoyed. “That is cheap!”

“Give me a sec,” I said. I stood up and sent an electric charge into the field. The field began to fluctuate and fad out some.

“What the…” Nick2 said scared. Nick jumped up and fired his FTSE at the field. The bullets began to smash into the field and soon, they were punching completely through. Nick2 was hit by several thousand bullets of extreme flame and heat. His body was disintegrated. Nick aimed at the little console that was generating the field and destroyed it. I walked over to the transmitter and looked at it.

“Amber’s design,” I said. “How did this guy live and get a hold of this?”

“He was probably alive when you thought he was dead,” Suzie suggested. I pressed the power button and all the lights turned back on. I pulled a switch and the sun came back. Also, three miles of city exploded as the sun was revealed.

“He wasn’t going down easily, was he?” I asked.

            “Nope,” Jon said.

“Well,” I said. “I have some business that I must attend.” As I walked away, the biker gang that I was supposed to help pulled up in front of me.

“You were supposed to be there five hours ago!” Chuck yelled.

“I though you said that it was in four days,” I said as calmly as I could.

“It’s been four days,” Chuck said. He pointed to his PDA. It read February 23, 3028.

“It’s 2011,” I said. “Your PDA is 1017 years to fast.”

“Really?” Chuck looked at the TV that was sitting next to us suddenly. The news was on and it showed that it was February 19, 2011. “Oh. Sorry.” Chuck and his biker gang drove off.

“Weird,” I said. “Why was his PDA so far ahead?”

            “Glitch?” Jon suggested.

            “1017 year glitch?” I asked.

“Could be,” Suzie said. “He could have been near a black hole.”

“Please don’t mention those,” I said. “I’ve had my fill.” Kira, Amber, and some of their soldiers suddenly appeared and kidnapped me using stingers. I managed to stay conscious, but I wish I hadn’t. Amber walked up to me and stuck her hand in my chest and began to slide it around. That was the most painful and most disturbing event of my life.

“Don’t worry,” Amber said with a small smile in her face. “This is just to track you.” She pulled her hand out of my chest and I sucked in a huge breath of air. My breath was so powerful that people were being sucked in. A lady fell and flew towards me (head first) so I stopped. She fell to the ground and a bus smashed into her. At the same time, a semi-trailer carrying gasoline hit the bus head on. If you’ve heard of the head on stuff, this was applied directly to the lady’s forehead. The truck and bus exploded. I turned and looked at Nick.

“What?” he asked innocently. “It was funny. I thought that this needed a little fire.”

“You just blew up the street, a lady and a bus,” I said.

“True,” Nick replied. “But you’re being captured.”

“Good point,” I said as I was being loaded on to a transport. “This is not good.”

Stage 1.2.1 Super Bowl Filler

We all gathered around a TV on Sunday, February 3, 2008 (Suzie, Amber, Nick, Paul, Vincinte, Sean E., Sean M., me, Stephanie, Kaidel, Alaini, you know, the whole cast). We were watching the Super Bowl and having a good time (with me having three beers) when someone knocked on the door. I walked drunkenly over and opened the door. Some guy in a black cloak and hood was standing there. He pushed past me and pulled out a gun.

“Give me all your money and valuables!” the guy demanded. “Now!” Nobody moved, they all just stared at him as if he was crazy. I threw an empty beer can at his head and he turned around.

“Drop the gun!” I commanded soberly. “Did you really think I was drunk? I’ve only had three beers in four hours.”

“Crap,” he said. He suddenly began to fire at me. The bullets bounced away and I pulled out  my P-90. I aimed at his butt and fired a small round.

“Nice!” Nick yelled. He looked around. “Wrong time?” Everybody nodded, even the mugger.

“This is not fair!” the mugger complained as we put him on the couch. “My boss said that you guys were easy targets. He also said that if I could mug you guys, then I could join his crew.”

“Then your boss must be a moron,” I said. “If anybody mugs us, they end up dead. You got off easy. When you can walk again, tell your boss to come by.”

“I have his number,” the mugger said. “I could call him.”

“That works,” I said. The mugger called his boss.

“Hey boss!” the guy said excitedly. “I did it! I took all of them hostage and got all of their valuables! Come on by and see!” He hung up the phone. “He’s coming. I think you could teach him a lesson.” Nick and I looked at each other and went into our separate rooms and got out enough weapons to start a war and finish the same war in five minutes.

            “Ready?” I asked Nick.

“Yep,” Nick answered. We got into position. Everyone else was tied up loose enough to be able to wriggle out and Nick and I went and hid. The mugger’s boss came in and looked around.

“Very good Bill,” Bill’s boss said. “You have done well.”

“Thank you sir,” Bill said. The boss figure handed bill a machete.

“Kill them very slowly,” the boss said. “I want their head on a platter.” Bill walked up to Amber and grabbed her hair. Before we could jump out, Bill hacked off her head. I nearly shot him from where I was hiding. Fortunately, Amber had some tricks up her sleeves, and in this case, her neck. The neck on her body grew a new head. Amber looked at Bill and stuck her tongue out. The head grew a new body.

“What the…” Bill began to scream. Amber2 grabbed Bill and broke his neck. The boss began to run away when an arm slammed the door shut. All it was, was an arm, until the arm grew. Another Amber had formed and walked over to the boss. Amber2 grabbed the boss’s arms and Amber3 untied Amber and everyone else. Amber2 gave Amber3 on arm and Amber held the guy by his legs.

“What are you doing?” the boss asked horrified. Nick and I came out of our hiding spots. Nick was in a closet. I was in a walk in  refrigerator. We both fired at him like crazy using any weapons that we had on us. When we finished, all that was left was some shoes and a dollar.

            “Nice,” I said.

“Yep,” Nick said. “Let’s finish watching the game.”

“Sounds good to me,” I said. It was pretty peaceful after that.

The Giants won, I had money on the Patriots.

Stage 1.3.1 Critical Mass Part 1

“So, where are we going?” I asked some time later. We had been in a transport jet for two or so hours. I was getting bored and I was nervous about taking a nap.

“I can’t tell you,” Amber said. “You might get the N3 to follow us.”

“True,” I said. “Considering that they would follow us anyway.”

“They can’t,” Amber said quickly. “I placed a disrupter on you so that any radio waves that would allow them to track you are scrambled and sent elsewhere.”

            “Where are they?” Nick asked.

“There’s a signal coming from the Pacific,” Sean M. said. “I can’t tell where though.”

“If it’s that large, then he could be anywhere,” Nick said thoughtfully. Nick walked over to the window and looked around. “He’s out there.” As Nick looked he saw a small speck on the horizon. The speck grew larger and larger. The auto-defense systems came online and started to fire. As Nick watched, he noticed that the speck, or blob at this point, was skillfully avoiding the blast.

            “What is that?” Nick asked.

“Can’t tell,” Vincinte said. “Although it does look like Matt.”

“It’s Matt!” Sean M. shouted suddenly. Nick looked closely.

“Turn off the auto-defense!” Nick commanded. The firing stopped and I slammed into the window.

Let’s go back a few hours, back to when I was talking to Amber. And, ow, that window is harder than I thought.

“You don’t really think that I can’t escape?” I asked Amber.

“You can’t,” she said. “If you try, I’ll crush your internal organs. Or I’ll make you one of the undead.”

“I’ll take crushed organs for 500,” I said.

“Very funny,” Amber said. “Like I said, you can’t escape.” I sat there for a while and thought about what I could do to escape. Suddenly, there was a crash and some coughing. Amber stood up and looked around. When she did that, I pulled out a pocket knife and began to cut away at the rope around my hands.

            “What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Someone is over there,” Amber said. “I’ll be right back.” Amber walked off for a moment, which was enough time to slip my hands out and untie my feet. I sat back in the position of being tied up when Amber came back.

            “Ow,” Kaidel said.

“Why are you here?” I asked.

“Shut up,” Amber said. “You’re in no position to ask questions, only answer them.”

“Good,” Kaidel said. “Because I have a few questions for you.” Amber smiled at me with an irritating grin. I rolled my eyes ad I was slapped almost instantly afterwards.

“Ow,” I said irritably. I was slapped again for saying that apparently.

“Go ahead Kaidel,” Amber said when she had finished slapping me.

            “Where’s Nick?” Kaidel asked.

“Does he have a bounty?” I asked after her. Amber was about to slap me again when I quickly said: “It can affect what I say! If he has a bounty, I wouldn’t tell her!” Amber pulled back her hand.

“No,” Kaidel said. “He doesn’t have a bounty.”

“Okay,” I said. “He’s is currently at the base of the N3 which I can’t disclose without risking raids or Amber here kidnapping me or somebody else.”

“Please?” Kaidel pleaded. “I need to see him.”

“When I see him again, I’ll tell him you’re looking for him,” I said.

“How will I find him?” Kaidel asked.

“He’ll find you,” I replied. Kaidel sighed and looked into the distance. I looked at Amber and she shrugged. Amber knelt down and whispered something in my ear which I will not repeat. I couldn’t repeat it anyway, it was in a language that I don’t speak or know how to write. Ask Amber, she could tell you.

            “Can I leave?” I asked.

            “No!” Kaidel yelled.

“What?” I asked her. “You have nothing to do with my capture!”

“Still, I want a little revenge,” Kaidel said. “You still own me from high school, so I’ll get my favors this way.” Kaidel started to punch me in the face and groin. After five minutes, Amber joined in.

“Why are you attacking?” I asked angrily.

“Because, it’s fun!” Amber said gleefully. After three more minutes of abuse, I leapt into the air. My bondages were dropped and I landed on a crate. I pulled out a P-90 and began shooting. Kaidel pulled out an Uzi and fired. Amber pulled out the ITSE. I dove into an open crate when she did that. I looked next to me and saw a container. Inside was liquid nitrogen.

“Crap,” I said quietly. Amber was walking around looking for me. When she was close enough, I grabbed the container and threw it at her. The container burst open and covered her in liquid nitrogen. I jumped over and punched her arm, hoping that it would shatter. Instead, Amber flipped me and drop kicked me into a nearby wall.

“I told you that you can’t escape,” Amber said with a very disturbing tone. “You should have listened.” Amber thrust her hand at my chest and was about to wreak some major havoc on my organs when a door burst down.

“Halt!” Ervin said heroically. “You won’t win undead person!” Ervin jumped over to where we were and struck this kung-fu pose. We looked at him for a moment then Amber went back to preparing to stick her hand in my chest. When her hand was three inches away from me, Ervin did some weird, yet cool, move and blocked it. Amber grabbed his middle finger and threw him on the ground.

“I’ll have to make this quick then,” Amber said hurriedly. She pushed her hand in my chest and began to mess around with stuff.

“Note to self,” I said painfully. “Pass out when hand is in chest.” Amber pulled her hand out, but she was holding something. She stuffed it into her jacket pocket and ran. The ship suddenly disappeared and we all fell down. I activated my jet and flew back towards the HQ. Kaidel and Ervin fell to the ground. They survived and Ervin got into a convenient hummer and ran Kaidel over.

I was lying on the floor with a major headache. I tried to get up, but I couldn’t see clearly. When my head stopped pounding, I slowly got up and walked around a little. I found a small map sitting on the floor and looked at it. It turned out to be a blue print of the ship. I found the bridge and went there. When I arrived, the bridge was empty. Fortunately, the ship hadn’t left orbit. I decided to try to maneuver the ship in the general direction of the N3 headquarters. I touched the main steering controls to try and move the ship. I was hit with an electric bolt powerful enough to light a house for three seconds. I stood there after the blast and thought for a moment. I sent a charge back into the panel and watched it explode. When I had enough fun on the bridge, I went to the engine room. I entered and saw that there were two main engines, and about three thousand auxiliary engines. I decided to shut off the auxiliary engines and one main engine.

When that task was complete, I turned on half of the auxiliary engines and had the ship turn around manually. The hard part was done. When I was moving in the right direction, I set three C62380 charges in the engine room, the fuel chambers, and the bridge. I went back to the cargo bay and looked at what was in the crates. All I found was liquid nitrogen and several weapons; most of them were harmless in major battles. There was only one interesting item. It was a small container filled with nitro glycerin.

I picked up the container and put it in my pocket. I went back to the charges and set them to go off in five minutes. I went to the hangar bay and activated my sonic jet. I sat there for the next four minutes and thirty seconds. When the C62380 went off, I turned on the engines and blasted out of the hangar. The shockwave from the blast hit my jet and sent me flying at 500,000 mph. When I finally reached the N3 perimeter, the auto-defense system fired on me. You know what happened after that.

“I feel like there is an empty space inside me,” I told Ryan, the medical specialist.

“Probably because you’re missing some organs,” Ryan answered.

“Are you serious?” I asked him.

“Yeah, you’re heart, liver, stomach, and kidneys are gone. You’re still alive though,” Ryan explained. “It’s quite interesting that she took your organs without killing you.”

“I know. But I think I’ll get those back.” My watch formed a holoscreen and it showed where I was, where Nick was, several ops teams’ locations, and where Amber was heading.

            “And that is?” Ryan asked.

“Tracker,” I replied. I walked off and entered the transporter. I took it to the garage and got in my Chrysler ME Four-Twelve (Duh) and drove off. I was in Miami tracking Amber when a cop pulled me over.

“Do you know how fast you were going?” the officer asked.

“Three miles over the speed limit,” I said.

“Here, that is a violation!” the officer yelled. “I could throw you in jail!”

“Right. How about this,” the cop looked at me with interest. “If you can catch me, then you can throw me in jail. If I escape, then I escape.” The cop thought for a moment. He looked down to respond, but I had speed off, moving at 300 mph. The cop stumbled to his car and tried to start the engine but it wouldn’t turn over. He checked the engine and saw no engine.

“Nooooooooo…” he shouted. I won’t do the entire “no” thing again. “He stole my engine! The evil….” He was hit by a stray explosive that no one had seen coming. In the distance  (more of ten feet away) Amber stood there holding a rocket launcher. I came back around to see what had happened. I found a charred pile of metal and flesh.

“I think I know who did this. Considering that there’s a note that says where she’ll be next. At least, I think that’s a note. It could be this cop’s left ear. Oh! It’s a note on an ear! Creepy.” I read the note on the ear then walked off. The note had said that Amber got this guy, nothing important. I went back to my car and drove off.

While driving in Miami, people kept staring at my car as if they had never seen a Chrysler ME 4-12 before. I found a discrete alley and pulled in. I had my car turn back into my watch then began to walk out.

“Hey kid, nice watch. Mind if we take a look at it?” Some thug had walked up behind me and had spun me around.

“I would show it to you if you hadn’t done this in an alley,” I said.

“Then come with me,” the thug said. “I need someone to help me with something anyway.” He pulled out a gun and pointed it at my chest. “If you don’t, then you’ll have you’re 6th hole.” I looked at him then walked. He followed behind me and kept the gun in the center of my back. When he stopped me, we were in an alley crossway. Several men began to walk out from each of the alleys.

“Is this a gang meeting place?” I asked.

“No,” the thug said. Some of the guys brought rocks and began placing them in an octagon shape with all of the angles facing in.

            “What’s with the rocks?”

“You’ll see.” Soon the guys had finished. The thug pushed me in and another little person in a hooded cloak stood entered, head looking down.

“This is the Star Arena,” the thug said. “The rocks will be lit and you will fight your opponent. Who ever wins leaves and the loser, if not dead, gives us all of their belongings. Light the fire.” Two guys ran up and lit different corners of the “star” and ran back to the crowd of thugs. The flames shot up quickly and the ring became very hot.

“Fight!” a guy in an announcer box (a fire escape) shouted. My opponent didn’t do anything but stand there. I sent a punch at him and missed.

“What the…” I began. My hand had gone straight through the person’s body. Before I could bring my hand back, my opponent moved to the side, grabbed my arm and threw me to the ground. Next, my opponent removed his hood. It turned out not to be a male. Amber was looking at me with some weird look on her face.

“You’d think you were here for some other reason,” Amber said.

“What does that mean?” I asked. I moved around a little to see if she had my organs with her.

“I’m saying that you look like you would be here to rescue a girl, not hurt her.” I pulled out a P-90 and fired at Amber’s face. She flew in the air some and I jumped up to grab her. We hit the ground so hard that the rocks shifted out a few inches. A small bag rolled out from Amber, through the fire and into the main thug’s hands.

“Is this yours?” the thug asked Amber.

“Yes it is.” The thug walked over and handed it to Amber. As he began to walk out of the fire, I punched him in the back of the head. The thug fell over and smashed his face into the ground. Amber kicked me in the back sending me through the fire and into a wall.

“Oh, that’s gotta hurt!” the announcer guy said. I gave him a dirty look and he simply shrugged his shoulders. I turned back to the fire and saw the shadow of a Lotus Elsie form.

“Cheater,” I mumbled. The car sped out of the fire and down an alley. I leapt on to a roof and chased after it. The car was soon driving at 250 mph and was still gaining speed. Amber spun around a corner and I had to turn as quickly as possible before I flew off the building and in front of Amber. I decided to drag my self and leap off the building. As I fell, I fired magnetic grapple at Amber’s trunk. I pulled my self as close as I would dare and was towed along. As Amber drove, three rockets appeared out of the sky and were approaching us. The rockets flew above my head and spun around. I pulled myself all the way to Amber’ car and walked across the top. The car suddenly lurched to a stop and flung me off at a high velocity.

“Not good!” I shouted. I smashed into a wall and collapsed to the ground. The rockets flew over the Lotus and directly at me. I dropped as far as I could to the ground and watched a rocket hit the wall. The other two flew up to the sky and looped back down to the earth. I waited until the third to last second before I moved. When I did, another rocket exploded. The last rocket redirected itself for me as it had done the last two times. The Lotus sped up and hit me in the back of the legs, pinning me against the hood. The rocket was 10 seconds away and I couldn’t jump out of the way in time. I then remembered that Nick had given me an experimental tool to use. I activated it through my watch and bubbles began to form.

“Oh great,” I said quietly. “Nick gives me a bubble maker.” The bubble cloud grew thicker and thicker, forming a form of wall between me and the rocket. When the rocket made contact with the bubbles, it exploded. The bubbles took the impact of the explosion and I didn’t feel a thing. I sighed in relief and slid to the road. I had forgotten about the car until it did the one thing I wouldn’t have wanted to see at that moment.

The Lotus began to transform (not a Transformer from the movie or TV shows called Transformers©). The car became taller until it was about ten feet tall. The arms were very thick and so were the legs. When it spoke, it had a feminine voice under the robotic voice.

“This time, you’ll surrender and the N3 will fall! Ervin has been sent to take care of the rest of the N3 leaders and operatives. You will become my slave.” I thought for a second.

“No I won’t!” I yelled back.  Suddenly, jet vents opened up on my back, upper and lower legs and my upper arms. They activated and launched me 30 feet into the air and on a roof of a nearby building. The transformed Lotus walked over the building I was on and swung its huge fist at me. I jumped over to the next building just before I was a new paint color for the roof.

“Who are you?” I asked loudly. The Lotus turned and looked at me.

“You know who and what I am. You’ve tried to kill me several times and you’ve also tried to get your organs back from me after I stole them.”

“So you have the ability to transform?” I asked Amber. “Isn’t that cheating?”

“This is armor, idiot,” Amber said irritated.

“Can you simply give me back my organs?” I asked.

“No, not unless you can get them from me,” Amber taunted.

“Like this?” I asked holding the bag of guts. I stuck my hand in and pulled out my heart. It was still beating (fortunately) and it was still warm also.

“How did you…?” Amber asked confused.

“I’m a n1nj4, what do you think?” I asked. I walked around to the other side of the roof and looked through the bag. All of my organs were there, intact, and still alive.

“You will die!” Amber shouted. I turned around and saw Amber running towards me (as a human) and I put my heart in front of her fist and she punched my heart back into me. She pulled her hand back and I felt my heart slide back into place. Amber suddenly did a flurry of punches at me. As each punch came, I threw an organ in the way. When Amber had finished, I had all of my organs back in place.

“Thanks,” I said gratefully. “I needed these organs.” I turned around and began to run off when a hummer crashed in front of me. “Who would drive a hummer on to a roof of a building?”

“That would be me!” Ervin declared as he stepped out of the hummer. “Prepare to face the true terror of the undead!”

“And don’t forget Kaidel!” Do I really need to say who said that? Kaidel stood up and looked around. “Wow, a hummer can make it up here.”

            “Is she undead?”

Amber gave me this look that I can’t really describe. “Why would I waste that on her?”

“Good point.” I pulled out my new katana blade. I spun it a few times to see how heavy it was and then I turned around in circles to see all of my opponents. Amber pulled out her ice katana and Ervin pulled out a baseball bat (I don’t think that it’s a safe to fight bat either) and Kaidel stared off blankly into space.

Ervin attacked first. He swung violently but I dodged to my left with some sw33t n1nj4 sk1!!z[i]. His bat was more dangerous than I had originally anticipated. When the bat hit the ground, there was an explosion followed by a shockwave followed by an ear piercing sound blast followed by a raid of bats to attack. When it finally finished, I was stumbling around trying to regain my balance, sense of direction and hearing and I was trying to overcome a major headache. Amber was next. She jabbed but I dodged, not intentionally, but more of a drunken sway that allowed me to avoid a frozen sword in the gut.

“How is he avoiding us?” Ervin asked when Amber stopped attacking and fell back.

“He’s probably dazed,” Amber replied. “If he stays that way, we can make him undead. He would be a wonderful soldier.” I wasn’t actually dazed, it was all an act. Amber and Ervin found this out when I disappeared for a moment.

            “Okay, where is he?”

“Up there.” I was flying above them (about 100 feet up) with my sword facing the earth. I stopped ascending and fell at high speeds. Amber and Ervin jumped out of the way as I made contact with the roof. My sword began to break apart as I dug into the roof. When I had stopped, my sword was simply a hilt.

“Very nice Matt,” Amber said mockingly. “You should know not to be defenseless when fighting me.”

“But I’m not,” I said. Amber looked at me confused then she collapsed on the roof unconscious. Ervin ran over to her then passed out as well. The nanobits rebuilt into my sword and I walked off.

“So you could take them down, big whoop. Try and stop me!” Kaidel pulled out two ninja knives on me. I threw my sword lazily at her and he weapons were knocked out of her hands.

“Do you want to see Nick or not?” I asked.

            “Yes!”

“Then come on.” I walked forward and pressed some buttons on my watch. I leapt down to the ground and stepped into my new vehicle, the crusher. (Fr33 Typ3 Chart) I stepped in and turned on the engine. Kaidel got on top and never got a chance to get inside. I hit the gas and sped off. I was hopping that she would fall off and be left behind, but she managed to hang on.

When I stopped, Kaidel was shaking violently and she was covered in bird guts. I climbed out and looked for her. She fell off the roof and passed out for three minutes.

“Nice,” I said to myself. When she woke up Nick was standing over her.

“Why did she want to see me?” Nick asked.

“Don’t know. I’ll let her explain. I’m going to get some coffee.” I walked off to a coffee shop that was a block away.

“Nick?” she asked. (Everything I say is what Nick would tell me.) “Is that you?

            “Yes, what do you what?”

“I have to tell you something.” Nick didn’t tell me anything after that. I heard what happened after she said the last line you read.

There were several loud explosions coming from where Nick and Kaidel were. I ran out of the coffee shop (forgetting my newspaper) and ran to the corner of the street. I couldn’t see anything except smoke, fire, and I smelt flesh.

“Nick went crazy I suppose,” I mumbled. I saw a silhouette form in the fire and smoke. “Wonder who that is.” Nick stepped out of the fire holding his FP-90E.

“This works really well,” Nick commented. “It’s light but deadly. Sw33t.”

“What happened?” I asked. Nick told me what you read earlier. “Okay, that’s interesting.”

“Why Nick?” Kaidel asked suddenly. She was behind Nick on crutches. “Why?” Before Nick gave and answer, a Lotus S series drove up.

“Can she just give me a three millennia break?” I asked myself annoyed.

            “Friends of yours?” Nick asked.

“No,” I said quickly. I ran off and leapt onto the nearest roof. As I ran I heard something crunch and explode. I glanced behind me and saw a Lotus trailing me and gaining. When I looked forward again, a hummer was heading toward me also. I stopped when I was halfway between the Lotus and the hummer and waited until the vehicles were two feet away from me. I leapt into the air and watched the cars crash into each other.

I landed on the roof and looked at the damage. The Lotus tried to go in reverse and run me over again. It couldn’t move because they were stuck. I walked up and took a closer look at the damage. The hummer’s hood was crushed and the driver’s side wheel was bent. The Lotus had tire damage and the door was bent. I tapped the door of the Lotus and there was a slight vibration. I stepped back quickly and watched as the Lotus repaired itself and pull out of the crash.

“Not good,” I said. The Lotus pulled up so close that my leg was brushing the grill. It transformed so that it could walk, and pulled out a huge rifle and aimed at me. I heard it say something to me but it was in a different language. I continued to step back until I was at the edge of the roof. I waited as the hummer repaired itself and stepped forward with a rifle as well.

“Surrender!” the hummer yelled. I could hear Ervin’s voice behind this robotic like voice, so I assumed that it was him. I pulled out a long rifle that no one had seen me carry before.

“What is that?” Amber asked. “I’ve never seen that weapon before.”

“You’ll find out soon enough.” I turned around and jumped over to the next roof and began to run away. Amber and Ervin chased after me and fired at me when they felt that they had a good shot. They missed me by inches most of the time. When they were off by feet or yards, they had different targets. One of their targets was a water tower. I dodged it with little room to spare. The tower burst open and water gushed out, knocking me across the roof and over the edge. As I fell I threw my hand out and grabbed the closest thing I could find.

“Did we kill him?” Amber asked. “Because I don’t like the other undead. They’re all decayed and stuff. It’s disgusting.”

“Aren’t we undead?” Ervin asked. Amber looked at him.

            “Wraith[ii],” Amber replied.

            “The difference?”

            “Did you die?”

            “No.”

            “That’s the difference.”

            “Oh.”

“Can I get a hand here?” I shouted. “I mean, your conversation is interesting but I don’t care if you’re wraith or a cow! I’m hanging by a… oh… ew....”

“What?” Ervin asked. “You’re the leader of the N3. You shouldn’t be disgusted by anything.”

“It depends on what you’re talking about,” I said. “Take a look at this.” Ervin and Amber looked over the roof and saw what I was talking about.

            “That is gross!” Ervin yelled.

“Yeah,” was Amber’s response. She leaned over and helped me up. When I was back on the roof, I jumped to another roof and ran. Amber and Ervin chased after me again. I leapt down to the street and ran down a small alley. Amber and Ervin came to the alley (still on the roof) and looked down.

“Where is he?” Ervin asked impatiently. He knelled over and looked down into the alley.

“If he’s in there, I doubt that he will show himself,” Amber said. She walked over to another part and looked in. When she looked down, she was hit in the face by a major shockwave blast. She flew backwards and crashed on her back. Ervin turned to look and was hit by large pillar. I appeared next to Ervin’s head holding a large remote with a bright red button on it.

“You really need to brush up on fighting tactics 102,” I said. Ervin made some form of groan and tried to move. He mostly rolled over some and did nothing else for the next 10 to 12 minutes. I turned around and saw Amber standing behind me. She raised her fist up some and brought it down upon my head. Using my n1nj4 sk1||z, I leapt out of the way before I was a new color on the roof.

When Amber lifted her hand, she saw a large impact mark, but no remains of me. She looked around and couldn’t find me either. She walked over to Ervin to help him, but she never made it to him within the next three seconds. She stepped on a trip mine and it blew her back 30 feet. She slid across the roof and hit the door to the rest of the building. I was going to use that door to escape, but with that way cut off I decided to jump to the next roof.

Amber helped Ervin up and knocked him over.

“What was that for?” Ervin asked angrily.

“You messes up and let yourself get knocked out,” Amber explained. She looked around to find me. When she looked at a nearby skyscraper, she saw a small red dot coming from the building.

“That was uncalled for!” Ervin said.

            “Shut up,” Amber commanded.

            “What?” Ervin yelled in response.

            “Get down!” Amber commanded.

“You don’t tell me everything to do!” Ervin shouted as he stood up. Amber dropped to the floor as a huge blast of light, heat, and gravity hit Ervin’s armor. He fell over and the armor began to give off huge electric sparks. Amber pulled Ervin out of the armor and carried him along by his leg.

I was sitting on a skyscraper watching them walk along (more of Amber walking and Ervin dangling from a leg) and letting my solar cannon cool down. As I watched, I pulled out a scanner to make sure that there were no bugs nearby. The scanner picked up three right next to my leg. I pulled out a dart and threw it at one of the bugs. The first bug exploded and the other two went with it.

I went back to watching Amber walking towards me. I glanced back at Ervin’s damaged armor and saw it explode. The explosion was minor so there was no major damage. Amber had also looked back when the armor exploded.

“My armor’s gone, isn’t it?” Ervin asked. Amber simply nodded.

When they finally made it to the building, I had fallen asleep. I knew that they were there when Amber picked me up by the waist and stared at me until I woke up.

“What the…?” I said suddenly after I woke up. “You could have been shot! That is, if I could get my gun out.”

“This is kind of cool,” Ervin said below me. I looked down and saw him messing with the solar cannon. I wasn’t worried though, he couldn’t operate it.

“Be careful with that,” Amber warned. “You could set it off.”

“No I won’t,” Ervin said big headedly. He pulled the trigger and nothing happened. “See?” Amber sighed.

“Okay, you were right.” The moment after she said that, the cannon ripped itself out of Ervin’s, wait, that didn’t happen. The cannon ripped Ervin’s arms off as it pulled itself towards me.

“Why is it moving?” Ervin yelled in terror. “And why did my arms go with it?” The cannon floated until it was at the wrist of Amber’s armor. It began to charge and a small hologram appeared.

            “What is it?” Amber asked.

“More of, who is it?” I said after her. The hologram had produced and image of some guy that I had never seen before.

“Who are you?” I asked the hologram.

“Why are you asking the hologram that?” Amber mocked. “It’s not like it has a personality. That and it’s most likely a recording.”

“Who are you calling a recording fool?” the hologram asked. Amber was surprised that the hologram knew that she was talking.

“How did you…?” Amber asked nervously.

“I have AI,” the hologram answered. Amber simply looked at the hologram. “Artificial Intelligence.”

“Okay,” Amber said. “What do you want?”

“I just wanted to tell you that I would tear your arm off. That and my name’s Bob,” was the hologram’s response. The solar cannon blasted Amber’s arm off less than a second after it said that. Amber screamed and dropped me. The solar cannon fell into my hands then shifted into the blast pack I had made some time ago. I jumped over to another roof and ran down the roof and jumped to another. Amber turned in my direction and aimed at me with some cannon weapon. As I flipped in a jump, I saw a huge energy blast coming towards me. I did a slight twist and the blast missed me a few inches. I landed on the next roof and kept running. I looked behind me and was Amber coming after me in that bulky armor.

When I had looked forward again, Ervin was in front of me holding a bat. He swung and hit me in the knee. How he hit my knee and not my face, I don’t know. I collapsed to the ground and slid across the roof. I stumbled across the roof, still on my knees, and tried to escape. Ervin charged me and smashed my foot into the roof.

“You have no aim!” I shouted. I pulled out a tri-blade Katana Fragsword and blocked the next swing of Ervin’s bat. I was blocking Ervin’s attacks when Amber had climbed up to the roof and joined him. Amber was about to crush my head using her foot when a shadow blew past Ervin, knocking him out of the way, and stopped the foot with a long pole.

“What the…?” Amber muttered quietly (as quiet as anyone could in huge armor with a voice amplifier). The shadowy figure was revealed when Ervin stood up and turned on a flashlight.

“Thomas?” we said at once. Thomas was standing there holding the long pole in one hand and had a bunny with a pancake on its head.

“What’s with the bunny?” I asked.

            “That’s his hat,” Thomas explained.

“What can it do?” I asked.

“Stuff,” Thomas answered. He turned to Ervin (without letting Amber’s foot drop) and shouted something in some unknown language. Suddenly, a ton of pancakes fell on top of Ervin.

“Nice,” I said. I stood up and walk over to him. “What are you going to do now?”

“Nothing,” Ervin said. “These pancakes put me out of the mood for fighting.” I nodded then walked off. Thomas knocked Amber over and followed me.

“Where are you going?” Thomas asked.

“Nowhere in particular,” I answered. I jumped over to another roof and began to walk farther away. Thomas was keeping up with me very well.

“So,” Thomas said after 10 minutes, “do you know those guys well?”

“They tried to kill me,” I answered. I walked faster and glanced back to see where Thomas was. He… h… h…hang on.

Give me the pickles! I said give me the pickles! Don’t run with them! If you wanted one, you should have asked. Joey! Drop the cheese! The cheese won’t help here. Okay, the knife will. Please, just give me the pickles. Don’t do it! Not the hot dogs! Why them? They had nothing to do with this! Nick, we have a hostage situation!

            Who’s the hostage?

            The pickles!

            Not the pickles!

I will not give you these pickles!

Come on man, just give me the pickles and we’ll let you go free.

            I got the pickles.

Nice move Sean. Why are these pickles important? Oh. Okay, here are the pickles Joey.

Why are you giving them back?

We no longer have a use for them.

Okay, great. See you guys later.

Okay, where were we? Oh, here we go.

Thomas was keeping up with me a little to well. I used the blast packs and leapt over to a roof that was several miles away. Bob appeared.

“Are you sure you want to ditch him?” Bob asked me.

“Since when did you become my conscious?” I asked Bob.

“Since you built me,” Bob responded. He then formed a text message in his hologram. It read: Go get Thomas! I sighed and prepared to go get Thomas and realized that he was standing next to me.

“How did you…?” I asked startled. I glanced over to Amber and Ervin. Ervin was eating some pancakes and Amber had stood up, took off the armor, and was looking for me.

“I have sk1llz, okay?” Thomas said.

“Sw337, now let’s move,” I said while watching Amber. We had begun to climb down the building when a massive plasmatic beam hit the side of the building. The shockwave knocked me off and I began to fall to the ground several hundred feet below me. I put on my claw gloves and launched the blades on them and latched onto a nearby flagpole. I began to rappel myself up when Amber fired a second plasmatic blast. This one decimated the flagpole and I fell again. I smashed my fist into the closest building and slid to a full and complete stop. When I felt that no more blast would be coming, I slowly climbed up and made my way to the roof. Thomas was there waiting for me and keeping a watch for Amber and Ervin.

“We have to try a different escape route,” Thomas said urgently. “They keep shooting us down whenever we climb up or down a wall.”

“Good point,” I said. I looked around and saw Amber flying down with an ice katana. I knocked Thomas out of the way and blocked the sword with my gloves. I was frozen solid the moment I made contact with the blade. Thomas did the last thing he could hear me say. He ran and jumped off the roof to the street below. Amber didn’t care what he did because she had no interest in him at the moment.

She walked around me as I stood there encased in ice. As she was doing that, I began to charge the blades with electricity and I tried to aim the charge at a telephone pole or and electric box. I could tell where anything was very well, so I ended up blast electricity everywhere and hitting anything that would carry a current. The ice began to melt from all of the heat that was being produced and Amber dove out of the way. A bolt of electricity hit Ervin and he flew back into a transformer and was electrocuted. He fell to the roof and lay there for a few moments. The ice had completely melted and I looked around. Amber jumped out and charged me with her ice katana. I held up my fist, ready to punch someone or something out. I dodged the blade so that I wouldn’t become an ice cube, and I jabbed Amber in the back. When I made contact, I exploded my fist and set off an electric charge. The blast sent Amber into a nearby pole and the pole bent like a straw.

Amber stood up and turned to face me. She took in a deep breath and walked calmly towards me. I was about to punch her in the face when she did some undead move and was behind me. She grabbed my arms and made her way to my ear. She whispered something so 3v1l (l337 57yl3 3v1l, j00 kn0w, und34d 57uff) that should never be said to anybody. She released me and I stood stock still.

“You can move you know,” Amber said lightly. I shivered slightly. “Something wrong? Are you afraid? Are you afraid of me torturing you until you willing allow me to make you one of the undead? I don’t see why. You’ve gone through worse, Matt. I should know,” Amber giggled, “I was the one who put you through it.” Amber made a louder laugh and walked back up to my ear. She whispered: “And it was the most fun I had ever had.” She stood there and let that sink in. She pulled out a small knife and was prepared to jab me in the back when she was knocked off with extreme force.

The moment I felt that she wasn’t still hanging on me, I leapt from that place and pulled out a sonic cannon (yes they’re hand held). I was aiming it around hopping that it wasn’t some trap I just fell into.

“What was that?” Amber asked as she stood up.

“You don’t know?” I ask surprised. She gave me this look that I can’t describe.

“Of course not!” she yelled. “I was knocked off randomly! Do you think I would simply let you go without a struggle?”

“Um,” I said. I didn’t want to give an answer so I shot her with the sonic cannon. The blast ripped the roof that was separating me and Amber into pieces and rubble. Amber was launched off the roof into a wall several hundred feet away. She had also gone through several buildings in the process. I turned around to see Nick standing there with Sean M. and Sean E.

“Yo,” Sean E. said. “Long time no see.”

            “Yeah,” I said. “Gravity field?”

            “Yep,” Nick answered.

“We have an undeadifier,” Sean M. said.

            “What?” I asked.

“It makes the undead into the regular people they once were,” Sean M. explained.

“If they were undead from the start?” I asked.

“Then we still have no means to defeat them yet,” Nick said. Thomas landed on the roof suddenly in Crusher2.

“Get that off the roof!” I shouted. Before anyone could really move, the building collapsed. When the dust settled, I looked around. The Crusher2 was fine and so was everyone else. I looked down and noticed an arm sticking out from under the rubble.

“Not good,” I mumbled. I climbed into the Crusher2, took over from Thomas, and drove over to Ervin. He had just finished getting up off the roof and had fallen to the street. I pulled out the undeadifier and shot it at him. The energy from the blast surrounded him and remained around him for three minutes. When it finished, he stood up and looked around.

“I’m not undead!” he shouted triumphantly.

“Great!” I shouted back. “Get in!”

“With pleasure!” Ervin shouted back. He leapt into the Crusher2 and sat down in a chair. I hit the gas and drove over to where Amber was stuck. I hit the brakes and smashed into the wall. Amber fell off and landed on top of the vehicle. She rolled off and landed on the ground. I turned the vehicle around (which required smashing the building apart) and faced her. She turned and looked at me and smiled. I gave a confused look back and smashed the gas (there is much smashing lately).

The Crusher2 sped up suddenly and ran Amber over. I stopped (yes I hit a building) and stepped out.

“Be careful Matt!” Nick shouted. “She has a hard time staying dead!”

“I know that!” I shouted back. As I walked up to Amber’s flat body, I heard something flutter by. I looked around and saw a mockingbird. Amber stood up and walked over to me.

“Mockingbirds, I kind of like them. They don’t bother people or anything,” Amber said. I glanced at her then back at the bird. I pulled out a 9mm and aimed at the bird.

“Don’t you know that it’s wrong to kill a mockingbird?” Amber asked me.

“I don’t care,” I said in response. “Why is it wrong anyway?”

“They don’t bother people,” Amber answered. Suddenly, thousands of birds flew in and landed next to the first bird.

“Great,” I moaned. “Now there are thousands of them!”

“Isn’t great?” Amber asked. I just gave her a cold look. The birds began to sing and Amber began to hum with them. I walked over to the Crusher2 and went into the storage area.

“What’s al the racket?” Nick asked.

“Mockingbirds,” I said angrily. Nick nodded, said something to everyone inside, then pulled out several P90s.

“Good idea,” I said. Everyone in the Crusher2 got out and aimed their P90 at the birds.

            “Ervin?” Amber asked.

“I’m no longer undead,” Ervin said quickly. Amber rolled her eyes then walked over to me.

“Why do you need P90s?” she asked. I didn’t answer her.

“Fire!” Nick commanded. We opened fire on the birds, taking down dozens at a time. When we finished, there were so many dead birds that I couldn’t count. I turned back to the Crusher2 and got inside. I powered on the weapons and aimed at the huge pile of birds. I fired the energy weapons at them and watched them get incinerated.

“Nice Matt,” Amber said. Before anyone could do anything else, we were sucked into another time vortex.

“What is with these things?” I asked myself. I turned on the GPS and tried to get a lock on its location. Apparently, we were in a time before satellites because the GPS gave me a frown face when it finished.

“¿Qué es la problema?” Sean M. asked.

“We are in a time without satellites,” I said. Amber looked around.

“This place looks primitive,” she said. Some person was walking up when she said that. He gave her a disapproving look.

“Now what do you mean by that miss?” the man asked.

“Do you have a TV?” I asked quickly.

            “A what?” he asked back.

“What year is this?” I asked.

            “1935,” the man said.

“The Great Depression,” I said quietly.

The man gave me a confused look. “Great Depression? There’s nothing great about it.”

“No, I mean that it’s world wide,” I explained. “You know, it happened after World War 1.”

“You mean the Great War?” the man asked.

            “Yeah!” I exclaimed. “That war.”

“Well, anyway, what kind of vehicle is that?” the man inquired.

“A big one,” I said. “Where are we?”

Alabama!” the man cried. “You didn’t see the sign?” I looked to my left and saw a sign that said: Alabama! The best of the best! I wonder who made that sign.

“Where are you headed?” Nick asked the man.

“Goin’ to the trial,” he answered.

            “What trial?” Sean E. asked.

“The black man who…” the man stopped and looked at me. “You should know. You’re a black.” I gave the man a threatening glare. He continued. “The black man was accused of rape and arson.”

“Great,” I said. I pulled out knife and threw it at his neck.

“Why did you do that?” Sean E. asked.

“Te fun of it,” I said. “Come on.” We all climbed into the Crusher2 (yes, Amber was allowed in) and we drove over to where the trial was being held. When we pulled up, I hid the Crusher2 behind three buildings and walked in. I was stopped when I entered the auditorium by some short white man.

“You have to sit up with your kind,” he said. I looked at him for a second, then Ervin smashed his head in with a bat.

“Nobody says that to me or my enemies or my friends!” Ervin declared. We walked in farther and stopped just out of everyone’s view.

“I say, we blow the place apart,” I said.

            “Why?” Amber asked.

            “Don’t know,” I said.

“Guilty!” the jury declared. The defendant looked depressed.

The judge then said: “The jury will now here all parties on the case of the murder of Jack Samuels.” I was grabbed suddenly and pulled up to the box. I didn’t do the pledge but I did scare the officer there. The lawyer came up and began to question me.

“Did you kill this man?” he asked. He pointed to the body of the man I was talking to earlier.

            “Yeah,” I said.

“Wow,” the lawyer said surprised. “Never had that happen before.”

            “Jury?” the judge asked.

“Guilty and the death penalty!” the juried cried.

“Not if I can help it!” I shouted. I pulled out Bob and began to fire repetitively, destroying the building. People screamed and ran. When that was over I hoped back into the Crusher2 and turned it on. Ervin, Sean M., Sean E., Nick, Thomas, and Amber hoped in after me. I slammed the gas and pulled off towards the location where we arrived. When we made it there, the entire army was waiting for us. I decided not to stop and slammed into a few tanks and hummers. I ran over a car and the military fired at me. The tanks they had did slow me down some, but I was moving fast enough to crush them.

“Matt!” Nick shouted. A tank shall crashed into the roof of the vehicle. “We’re getting pounded back here!”

“Understood!” I shouted back. Another shell smashed into the ground. I swerved around it and stopped just before I hit an officer.

“Halt!” he shouted. I sped off again and drove through several people’s homes and lawns. One lady ran out after us screaming.

“Nick! Get firing!” I shouted. He jumped to one of the turret controls and began to fire. He hit some of the tanks without any problems. It wasn’t until there were fewer tanks that he started to have problems. The tanks did their best to avoid getting hit. Some made some erratic movements and others kept going in one direction.

“A little help here?” Nick asked when the tanks began to fire back. Sean E. moved into the second turret and fired some. The tanks made some more erratic movements and Sean did the same thing Nick did. I spun the Crusher2 around and went full speed at the tanks. Apparently, these guys didn’t have training in combat where the enemy had tank proof metal and intentionally came for them. The tanks went into reverse and tried to escape. The Crusher2 was faster and more maneuverable than the tanks, so they had a hard time escaping. I used the missile turrets on the tanks and hit two sending them into various buildings. The last of the tanks were eventually destroyed and the remaining military was looking a little nervous.

“Get them!” one brave soldier shouted. Before anyone moved, I fired three missiles. Two of the missiles struck random places and the third hit the man who gave the last command. The rest of the survivors got into the hummers that would still move and drove off. I sat there for a moment to catch my breath.

            “Matt?” Sean M. said suddenly.

“Yeah?” I responded. I was sitting in the chair with my eyes closed.

“We’ve got company,” he said. I sighed and opened my eyes. There was a mob of people carrying pitchforks and torches (classic isn’t it?). I threw open the door and pulled out a katana Fragsword. I leapt out and swung three times. All of the people in a thirty foot radius were incinerated, stunned, or lost limbs.            Those who were uninjured ran off scared of losing body parts.

“Let’s go,” I said. I got inside the Crusher2 and drove off. A time vortex opened and dropped us off back at our starting place. A third vortex opened and dumped us somewhere in Salem Massachusetts. The only reason I knew that was because some poor girl was being burned and the people surrounding her were chanting, “She’s a witch!” I cloaked the Crusher2 and got out.

“What’s wrong?” Nick asked. He stepped out and looked over to where I was staring. “Oh.”

“Matt!” Sean M. called. “I’ve got something you might want to see!” I pulled my eyes off the girl being burned and walked over to Sean M.

“What’s up?” I asked. Sean M. showed me his scanner and pointed to the huge power spike.

“We’ve got a huge problem,” Sean M. said.

“And what’s the problem?” I asked.

“That power spike,” Sean M. gulped, “if that hits 300%, Earth, this solar system, this quadrant of the galaxy is destroyed. Worse, time will be corrupted as well.”

“Not good,” I said. “How much time do we have?”

“Two days,” he said. Nick and looked at him.

            “Are you serious?” Nick asked.

“I’m usually serious about this stuff, and today, I’m serious.” Sean E. walked over to us and looked around.

            “What’s happening?” he asked.

“We’ve got two days until time, space, and who knows what go up in flames or whatever!” I exclaimed. He looked at Sean M.

“In two days, Earth and everything in this quadrant of this galaxy are destroyed. Time will be affected by this also.” Sean E.’s eyes opened up so wide that I thought his eyes would fall out. They did fall out. He bent over to grope around for them.

As he searched, he said, “So, where is it?”

“The power source is here in this town. I can’t say where.”

“Looks like we’ve got a mission. Gear up and move out,” I ordered. We filled Amber and Ervin in on the situation, grabbed some gear, and walked into town.

Stage 1.3.2 Critical Mass Part 2

Okay, here’s a quick recap of the last few events. Amber and Ervin tried to kill me. They failed. They tried many more times, they still failed. Ervin was made normal again. Yay. Amber, Ervin, Nick, Sean E., Sean M., and I have to save time and space, bug deal.

As you last read, we had just geared up and were heading into the nearby town or Salem. Just before we could really enter, three men walked up to us.

“Are any of you witches?” one of them asked.

“No,” I answered. “We’re just from another town far away.”

“You don’t look like any travelers I know,” the guy said.

“We are from a great distance, some several thousand miles,” Amber added.

            “Where?” a different guy asked.

“From the village of Highcabe,” Nick said quickly.

“Do all people from your village dress like that?” the first guy asked.

            “Yeah,” I said.

“You may enter,” the fist guy finally said. I sighed and entered the town. As we walked, many people kept giving us these weird looks. One man held his pitchfork so tightly; I thought his knuckles would fall off. I glanced back to everyone else to see what they were doing. Amber was looking at some shop and Ervin was holding a rifle. I found a place for us to stay and gather our recourses when we needed to.

Sometime that night, when everyone in town had gone to bed, we we’re scanning for the power source. I was walking next to the church when the scanner picked up the power source extremely well. It was reading at 136% and slowly rising.

I heard a small snap behind me and I hid the scanner from view. I turned around and saw a child lurking around.

“What are you doing here?” the kid asked.

“Exercising,” I said. The boy looked at me confused.

“My parents told me that walking around at night alone is dangerous. An evil spirit can get you and make you a witch,” the boy explained.

“Okay,” I said. “Thanks for the warning, but I’m not alone.” Nick walked over holding a scanner and hid it when he saw the boy. The boy turned around and saw Nick standing behind him.

“How did you get here?” the boy asked.

“I walked around the church,” Nick said. The boy looked at him then turned back to me.

“I followed you here, so can you take me home?” the boy asked. I nodded and I walked with him to his home. When his parents opened the door, they were relieved that I was with him. Then they slammed the door in my face. Nice folks. I went back to the church and scanned the place. Nick was searching for and form of door, elevators, or some other way in. I figured that the entrance was inside.

Before we could leave, there was a commotion approaching us. We did our n1nj4 thing and disappeared when the mob appeared. I was close enough to here what they were saying.

“They are witches! I am certain! My son said that they were around the church!”

            “They must be stopped!”

“People, let’s give them one more chance. If they come to church tomorrow and participate, then they can’t be witches. Otherwise, we’ll burn them to death!”

I nearly fell out of the tree and start shooting them, but I didn’t for some odd reason. I thought for a moment and realized that these people would have a hard time burning Amber. Nick and I regrouped, gathered everyone else and made our way back to our little hangout. We went over plans for tomorrow and went to sleep. As far as I could tell, this would be one exciting Sunday.

The next day, I looked out the window and saw people going to the church. Nick, Thomas, and Sean E. went with the first group of people. Sean M., Ervin, and Amber went with the second group of people who were going to the church. I was staying behind for a reason. When nobody was around, I pulled out some gasoline from the Crusher2 and poured it on some nearby houses. I pulled out a match and lit the buildings. When I felt that enough of the buildings were on fire, I ran over to the church.

“The towns on fire!” I shouted when I burst into the church. Nobody moved ad I saw why. Everyone was tied up and on stakes.

“You lie you witch!” one lady cried. Smoke then began to flow into the church.

“Still think I’m lying?” I asked. The people hurried out of the room and began to put out the fire. Only one man was left to guard everyone. He was seven feet tall and was bulky. He was standing still so well, that I thought that he was a statue. When I walked up to free my friends (and one enemy) the man threw into the far wall parallel to the wall I was at. It happened so suddenly that I was stunned from the impact on the wall.

The man walked up to me and grabbed my throat. He was about to crush it when the towns folk came back.

“What are you doing?” a man asked.

“He was trying to free the witches,” the man said with a deep booming voice.

“Then he is also a witch,” the man said. “Tie him up and prepare to burn them!” Just before the bulky dude tied me up, a massive explosion occurred beneath the church. The shockwave from it loosened the chains that were holding everybody to their stakes. It also made the bulky dude loosen his grip.

I dropped from his hand and kicked him in the chin. The big dude toppled over and landed on top of some lady who was yelling something. There was a crunch and slight groan coming from beneath the behemoth. I ripped the last of the chains off and used the stakes as a barrier between pitchfork and torch wielding nutcases and us.

            “Where’s the entrance?” I asked Sean M.

“It’s the door on the foundation outside!” he exclaimed.

“Great,” I mumbled. “Where are your scanners?” I asked.

            “At the house,” Amber said.

“Okay, Nick, do you have you’re FTSE?” I asked.

Without saying a word, Nick pulled out his FTSE and opened fire on the people. Just as he fired the fist shot, the big guy stood up. The bullet hit him in the arm and disintegrated it. He bellowed and pulled out a medieval battle axe. I wonder where you can get those. He swung it wildly at me as I ran toward the door. He missed me and split a bench in half.

I dove into a small crevice in the floor that had been formed by the big guy’s foot. The moment I landed in the crevice, three people threw torches at me. The torches flew past and hit the stake barrier that was protecting everyone. I looked up and saw the massive guy swinging his battle axe in time to avoid getting sliced by it. Three of the town’s people (men) jumped into the hole with me wielding pitchforks. The one closest to me jabbed at me first and I avoided the fork by side stepping. The next man lunged at me and I grabbed the tool and pulled it out of his hand. The man stumbled forward and I smashed him in the back of the head with the pitchfork. The third and first guys tried to stab me by coming towards me at two different angles. I blocked both of the attacks by putting my pitchfork in front of me and throwing the two men up into the air. I jumped up and smack the two pitchforks out of their hands into Nick’s and Amber’s hands. The grabbed the forks and began to fire ice and fire blast at people.

I did a back flip and launched two separate lightning bolts at the men. The jolts hit them then forwarded themselves to hit the largest person in the building. The big dude was hit and fell over dead. I landed on the floor and blocked three forks and a torch from hitting me. I looked up and some man was about to hit me with this enormous hoe.

Nick had come up behind him and flamed him with the fork. The guy fell over and rolled on the floor in pain. The battle went on for another five or so minutes and then we finally made it out. We ran to the house we had been staying at and grabbed our gear. I loaded my P90s and had my claw gloves ready.

We went outside and I used the remote for the Crusher2 to make sure that it was waiting for us back at the church. We ran back to the church as Sean M. checked the power levels.

“I’m reading 295%!” Sean M. yelled. When we arrived at the church, there were hundreds of people standing there waiting for us. I pulled out my EP90E and Nick pulled out his FP90E.

“I’m surprised that you’re going to use that,” I said. Nick chuckled lightly.

“I’m just testing it out,” he replied. We charged into battle, weapons drawn, heads forward (or down to look at a scanner in Sean M.’s case), all prepared to engage in major combat. Because this was the shortest battle ever taken place, I’ll make it quick. Everyone was shot, punched, or ran away screaming. The church was in major disrepair and the surrounding area was devastated.

I walked over to the door in the church foundation and pried it open. Sean M. and Nick ran into the hole to try and end the power surge. I waited for a few minutes then pulled out the scanner. The power level was dropping slightly but not by much. It fell to 294.89% but stayed at that level. I became frustrated and went into the hole. Nick and Sean M. were standing at a computer console and staring at a monitor.

“I say we just blow the computer apart!” Nick shouted.

“That will only let the power source expand to 300%! We’re already at critical mass!” Sean M. shouted back. I ran over and pushed the two out of the way. I began to type on the keyboard and I was making good progress when I stopped suddenly.

“Matt?” Nick asked. He waved his hand over my face poked me. He then punched me in the face. I didn’t move or flinch when Nick did that.

The reason I didn’t move was because I was bio-hacking. This happened accidentally, but it would help. As I was bio-hacking, I found out who made this and why. I soon found the power regulator and other programs related to the power source. When I saw what the power level was, I nearly sent an electric shock through the computer. It was reading 299.98%. I hurried up and began to shut off reactors that was generating the power source and soon, I shut it off completely.

When I snapped back to normality, I felt the punch to my face and I punched Nick in the eye.

“What was that for?” I asked angrily.

            “You stopped moving!” Nick yelled.

“I’m a bio-hacker!” I shouted back. Nick stood there dumbfounded. When he came out of his trance, we went back to the surface and climbed into the Crusher2 and sat down for a moment. Unfortunately, the people had something against us so they attacked again. I went to the cockpit and began unloaded rounds of missiles and rockets. I didn’t stop until the people had finally retreated.

I drove forward to a clearing in the woods and killed the engine.

“What are you doing?” Amber asked me.

“Getting ready to go back to our time,” I said.

“Okay,” Amber said and she sat back down. A time vortex opened and we ended up in Canada. When we could see what was surrounding us, I nearly moaned. Suzie and the GGR was surrounding us.

“We will take Canada and there is nothing you can do to stop us!” Suzie declared.

“Good for you,” I said mockingly. “Does anyone feel like preventing Canada from falling to the GGR?” Everyone simply said no.

“So what does that mean?” Suzie asked.

“You have Canada,” I said. I turned on the engine and pulled off. I ran over lots of things on the way out. I believe I hit a moose, but I’m not to sure about that.

When we made it back to our respected places, we took the rest of the month off. During that time, Suzie took control of Canada and England. I didn’t care. I had bigger plans for Earth.
